The Charlottesville Police Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization of local citizens. The Charlottesville Police Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization of local citizens who help our police get the tools and training they need to do their best work. A sample of what we do: financial support for advanced training on topics that enhance the professional skills of officers; programs and events that create opportunities for community involvement with police, and provide information on police initiatives; financial support for equipment and other needs beyond the reach of the City budget; and annual appreciation dinner and awards throughout the year to recognize achievements of Charlottesville Police Department staff.
