What a great time at the Iris Theatre at The Motzing Center last night for the first of our CARE Quarterly Speaker Series Events. When we plan events like this, we always hope people will come, but never quite know for sure. Thank you all for showing up! Mark Roche walked a captivated crowd through the early history of Cochranton. Thanks to the CHS tech class, we should have a video of the event to post soon. (fb)

Tomorrow night in the Iris Theatre at The Motzing Center at 6:00pm, join us for the first of our new CARE quarterly speaker series events to learn more about our history. Mayor Mark Roche takes us back in time from the very early days through the founding of Cochranton on April 5, 1855. This is our 170th anniversary! A Restrospective 1400 AD to 1855 Mark will cover the early habitation of the Native Americans to the visit by George Washington to the early settlers of Cochranton and conclude with the Chartering of The Borough Of Cochranton on April 5, 1855 (as we celebrate the 170th anniversary of that date). Hope to see everyone there! (fb)
