Texas Independent Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue
We are a non-profit organization (501-C3) dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of abandoned, neglected, abused, mistreated, nervous, and misunderstood dogs. Inspired by the tenacity of the Ridgeback breed from which we take our name, and one very special Ridgeback 20 years ago, TIRR Rescue's mission is the care and rehabilitation of large dogs. Although large breed special needs dogs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and RR mixes are given primary consideration when accepting dogs into our program, no breed is arbitrarily excluded. Secondly, our mission is to educate the public on the importance of researching the breed before getting a rescue dog, spay/neuter and educating the public on the requirements of large dogs and dogs who have experienced undue stress.
