MISSION: INCLUSION OF QUALITY CAPTIONING UNIVERSALLY. CCAC is a citizen advocacy organization, all volunteers, with the mission to advocate for inclusion of quality captioning universally.Captioning is needed every place that voices and sounds exist. It's vital for access on all media, and in many everyday "live" and "real time" events. It's the world's language, not only for mega-millions with hearing loss and deafness, but also for many with different language and learning needs. NB: Captioning is called by many names - Subtitles, Text interpreting, speed writing, real time captioning (RTC), live event captioning, speech to text (STT), CART-captioning, Voice Writing, Re-Speaking and Automated Speech Recognition. It is best done by those with training and professional certifications. CCAC is not a captioning company nor agency. We do not sell caption services. We are many citizen volunteer advocates to educate and advocate for the mission. Captioning professionals are needed for media (broadcast) accessibility (TV, Internet, Videos, DVD) and for live events (meetings, conferences, webinars, streams and more).
