It has successfully conserved or enhanced over 22 million acres of wildlife habitat, significantly contributing to the growth of wild turkey populations from approximately 1.3 million in 1973 to over 7 million today.

• Education and Outreach: The organization supports various educational programs such as JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics, and Sportsmanship), Women in the Outdoors, and Wheelin' Sportsmen. The NWTF has invested over half a billion dollars in conservation and hunting heritage preservation. It annually introduces more than 100,000 people to the outdoors and supports crucial wild turkey research projects.
