Spirit's Legacy Fund
Those of us who have opened our hearts to an animal know how important and unique that bond is. They love without limit, they enrich our lives, and they help us in ways that no human could. Our animal family members also require care that can be costly and unexpected. The Spirit’s Legacy Fund was created to ensure that an animal does not suffer from a curable medical condition due to a family’s limited financial resources. In providing financial assistance for sick or injured pets, we are able to comfort both the animals and humans involved and honor the “Spirit” of that relationship.

Generosity Inspired by Kindness and Compassion Years after a little black puppy was found and in need of medical attention Spirits Legacy Fund SLF was created so no pet suffers and no family has to say goodbye to a beloved animal with a curable condition due to financial restrictions. Dr. Michele Forbes founded SLF in June of 2015 soon after the opening of Compassionate Care Animal Hospital CCAH. This veterinary practice of well seasoned doctors and staff very familiar with the stress of caring for sick or injured animals intended for Spirits Legacy Fund to help families mitigate the costs when faced with difficult decisions about what medical treatments to pursue in order to care for their pets.
