Mission Hope Cebu Children’s Bible Study Program — Paknaan, Cebu, Philippines | 5.24.25. Teaching Acts 2, the Holy Spirit came like a mighty wind and filled Jesus’ followers with power! After Jesus went back to Heaven, His disciples were waiting and praying together. Then suddenly, a sound like a mighty wind came from Heaven, and flames like fire appeared over their heads. This was the Holy Spirit, God’s special gift to help them. All the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in different languages so everyone could understand the Good News about Jesus. Peter stood up and preached with boldness. He told the people that Jesus is the Savior sent by God. “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭38‬. That day, 3,000 people believed in Jesus and were baptized! They were filled with joy and became part of God’s family. We can pray for: Our family and friends, teachers and classmates, people who are sick or in need, dreams and future, and always thank God for His love and blessings!
