KRC is a non-profit organization that promotes the long-term health of the land and its people through community-based research, education, and advocacy. Since 1979, the Kansas Rural Center has worked to advance an ecologically sound, diversified food and farming system. KRC helps farmers and ranchers implement alternative practices, enhance their natural resources, improve their livelihoods and support their rural communities. We also help farmers and citizens join together in growing opportunities for local and regional food.

Please save the date for Kansas Rural Center's Annual Food and Farm Conference. Our conference will be held at the SpringHill Suites in Lawrence, Kansas this coming February 14th, 2026. We are currently in full swing of planning and want to share with you that we are carving out time in the morning for our conference goers to attend the famous Kaw Valley Seed Fair before returning for a full day of programming focused on uplifting our farms and food systems.

Join our lunchtime webinar on Farmland Leasing Basics to learn about ways you can build better relationships with your landlords or renters and exercise your creative power in farm law to address your legal vulnerabilities.
