Purecussion Music is an independent winter percussion group in Omaha, Nebraska. Having an Independent line allows us to reach as many percussionist in Nebraska and surrounding areas and see the true potential in those areas. This organization was started as a private business specializing in private teaching writing and arranging but now has grown to becoming an elite independent winter percussion group, currently one of two in the Nebraska circuit. PCM is about developing confidence and discipline as well as giving each student a chance to play with other fellow percussionist around the Omaha and surrounding areas. At the same time having fun and hopefully creating new friends and memories. We also are striving to help push each player to become the not just better but the best they can be. Purecussion Music will succeed in this by following its motto “to teach musicians not drummers." As Purecussion Music grows our goal is to not just create a competitive group but to give them the life skills ( discipline, never give up attitude, staying focused and positive, pushing for success) that they can take with them as they grow throughout their lives once their marching career is over.
