Welcome to In Focus Church. As we finish up our series in the Book of Mark we look at how this particular gospel ends so abruptly. Thus far we have covered the main message of Mark, you cannot have a crown without a cross. We love to talk about the blessed life, but what about the sacrificial life? What if they are one and the same? We are called to be sacrificial servants in the lineage of Jesus. You can’t embrace Jesus the Christ without embracing Jesus’s cross. The book of Mark showed us “the way” of the servant. Through persecution and popularity, Jesus was still just a servant - a sacrificial servant who made the ultimate sacrifice. This account in the book of Mark explores Jesus's farewell to His disciples and the commission He gave them (and subsequently all who would believe and follow Jesus). At In Focus Church, we want to boldly share the love of Jesus with others and watch IFC become the House of Miracles it’s destined to be. Your story could be the next miracle!
