The Sun Conference Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily engaged in fostering national or international amateur sports competitions. It operates as a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

History

The Sun Conference, previously known as the Florida Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, was established in 1990. Over the years, it has undergone name changes, becoming the Florida Sun Conference in 1992, before adopting its current name. The conference has expanded to include institutions from Florida and Georgia, offering championships in multiple sports.

Activities

The Sun Conference sponsors championships in 23 NAIA sports, including baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, beach volleyball, men’s and women’s cross-country, football, flag football, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s indoor track and field, women's lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s outdoor track and field, and women’s volleyball.
