Gates County Public Schools / Overview Site Shortcuts Welcome Due to numerous weatherrelated delays and school closures this year we have nearly exhausted all of our banked instructional hours. In order to recover lost time and account for any potential weather disruptions moving forward we need to make some important updates to our school calendar. As a result Gates County Schools will be adjusting the following dates Friday March 14th The scheduled Teacher Workday will now be a student day with an early release at 100 PM. Thursday April 17th The scheduled Teacher Workday will also be a student day with an early release at 100 PM.
