𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎: 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝…𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑴𝑳𝑷𝑩𝑪 🎉 April 5, 2005 — the day we officially incorporated the Miracle League of Palm Beach County. We had no playbook. No field. No nonprofit experience. We just had faith, a nudge from above, and a moment that would change everything. The truth is, it all began with a remote control (that I miraculously let Jeff hold) and an HBO Real Sports segment featuring the Miracle League. As the episode ended, Jeff turned to me and said, “This is what our family needs to do.” I agreed. A few weeks later, he told me we had a meeting with the city. I asked, “For what?” He said, “To start a Miracle League.” And I said, “Oh… you were serious?!” Turns out, he was — and thank God for that. From that moment on, we stepped into the unknown — and never looked back. Together with our 3 young sons & a community of givers, we’ve spent the last 20 years building something far beyond baseball: • Two Miracle League fields — places filled with joy, safety, and belonging • Inclusive playgrounds where every child can play • Lights that keep the magic going after dark • Florida’s first-ever Miracle League All-Star Game • Our signature Dinner on the Diamond fundraiser • The field where we cried tears of sorrow during Celebration of Life events. • And the same field where we cried tears of joy as we renewed our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary But none of this happened alone. It took a village of believers — families, coaches, buddies, volunteers, donors, fans — and one man who’s been the heart behind the mission all along: 𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐥 Jeff has worn every hat you can imagine — grant writer, coach, equipment hauler, banner hanger, leaf blower, dugout cleaner, music guy, and forever encourager. He lets me dream big — and somehow, helps make it all happen. He lives by the quote: “As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person.” Jeff, for 20 years, you have done that — again and again. You have raised three sons on these fields, and now you're raising them all. You are the most loving, giving, thoughtful, and selfless soul I know. You are the reason so many kids get to round the bases with joy. You are the reason so many families feel seen and supported. You are the reason we’re here. And we’re better because of you. The Kadel family is blessed to have you, and so is the entire Miracle League community. We love you!♥️ To everyone who has stood with us along the way — whether it’s been 20 days or 20 years — thank you. You are part of this miracle. These legends do it ALL with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of love: • Clean the dugouts (Miracle-style, of course!) • Leaf blow the field until it’s game-day ready • Hang up banners & flags like pros • Set up the music & sound so the party never stops • Fix, carry, set up, and support — without even being asked • Coaches with passion and purpose — who bring the energy every week! • Donate, volunteer, and cheer louder than anyone in the stands • And best of all… they do it with JOY and zero complaints These guys are our field MVPs the ultimate hype crew.
