Educational programming and resources to support a connected and thriving community. Mission: Providing families and individuals of Sheboygan County with educational programming and resources to support a connected and thriving community. The Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County was established in 1997 as a nonprofit and is dedicated to supporting young children, their families, and adults through its two programs which are both offered free of charge. Parents as Teachers is a federally-approved, evidence-based home visitation program for families with a child age birth to 5 years. The Literacy Council provides adult learners one-on-one tutoring by trained volunteer tutors to help them learn how to read, write, and/or speak English better. The Literacy Council also teaches U.S. Citizenship classes and offers a Workplace Literacy program.
