Our mission is to allow adoptable animals the opportunity to be placed in a good home, provide shelter, and care for homeless animals, and also educate the community about animal welfare. The West Volusia Humane Society exists to protect animals from cruel, neglectful and exploitative treatment. It is the belief of the Society that all pets have worth and value, therefore, our goal is to have a facility in which every adoptable animal that comes in the shelter is guaranteed a loving home. Further, the Society believes that pet owners must become more responsible for the care and safety of animals by giving them the proper care and quality of life they deserve. The Society shall maintain programs and services, which embrace that principle: Maintain a shelter facility
