Home - Friends of Carl Sandburg at Connemara, Inc. Progress at Connemara the Carl Sandburg Home While Hurricane Helenes impact is still very much visible at the Park the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site there has been considerable progress thanks to the efforts of Park Rangers. The hiking trails have been cleared and were reopened in late January. The barn is open and the goats are eager to have visitors again. The only available parking is the small Hikers Lot off of Little River Road.
