THE NORTHWEST KANSAS AREA AGENCY ON AGING (NWKAAA) PROVIDES SERVICES TO SENIOR CITIZENS; DEVELOPS AND COORDINATES PROGRAMS WHICH HELP THEM REMAIN INDEPENDENT IN THEIR HOMES AND COMMUNITIES.NWKAAA STRIVES TO SERVE AS AN ADVOCATE FOR THOSE OVER 60; TO DEVELOP AND PROMOTE PROGRAMS THAT HELP SENIORS REMAIN INDEPENDENT IN THEIR HOMES AND COMMUNITIES; TO COORDINATE AND EVALUATE EXISTING PROGRAMS DESIGNED FOR SENIORS; AND TO PROVIDE NEEDED SERVICES WHICH HELP ELDERLY STAY INDEPENDENT WITH COMFORT AND DIGNITY. NWKAAA IS PART OF A NATIONAL NETWORK OF AGENCIES CREATED IN 1973 BY THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT. IT IS A PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WITH THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ADMINISTERING OLDER AMERICANS ACT PROGRAMS IN THE 18 COUNTIES OF NORTHWEST KANSAS.
