The Combat Air Museum will hold our annual Taps Across America event on Monday, May 26. Free admission begins at 1 p.m. and Mike Eichten will provide a musical prelude before the ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m. The Washburn Rural High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) will post the colors. Kansas Army National Guard Command Sergeant Major Jeremy Byers will be the keynote speaker. The American Legion Post 400 Honor Guard will provide a volley rifle salute and flag ceremony for presentation to a deserving veteran. Retired Air Force Captain Herschel Stroud will play "Taps" followed by retirement of the colors. (fb)
