North Austin Community Media

We are discontinuing the use of this Facebook Page. Please join our new Facebook Group for information about KXPE: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KXPELP KXPE-LP is a Low Power FM radio station authorized by the Federal Communications Commission to broadcast in north Austin on the frequency of 94.1 MHz. KXPE is a non-commercial and non-profit radio station dedicated to serving the neighborhoods covered by the signal in north Austin.Low Power FM (LPFM) radio stations usually cover an area with a radius of around 3 to 5 miles. We hope to install our transmitter on a tower in the Braker Lane area of north central Austin. One of our priorities is to have programming that is by, for, and about the people who live and work in the area covered by the signal. Another priority is to have programming that does not duplicate what is heard on other stations in the area. That could include choral music, jazz, salsa, and many other styles of music that are not currently popular, as well as radio drama and nostalgia programming with popular shows from the golden age of radio. The station is still under construction, and volunteer help from the community is much appreciated.
