Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach is a crisis intervention agency whose mission is to support the stability of our community by providing basic needs and other services to empower individuals and families during a time of crisis. Our services include emergency food and hygiene supplies, transportation, prescription medications, assistance with rent or utilities, referrals, screening for SC Thrive benefits and obtaining a SC ID, as well as individualized services. We are a non-profit organization that receives funding from several local churches, United Way of Horry County, Foundations, Groups, Businesses and individuals. We have 5 staff members and over 50 volunteers. We are governed by a board that includes church representatives and at-large members from the community.

Our organizational goal is to assist individuals and families with immediate shortterm needs such as food rent utilities and other specialized services which if not met would threaten an individuals or familys stability. Areas of Service 29577 29579 29572 29588 and 29575 for rent and utilities ONLY. Our Services Emergency Food We provide five days of emergency food along with hygiene items if requested to individuals and families experiencing shortterm need.
