Harbor House of Louisville since 1992 has provided day services to adults with intellectual disabilities, including employment on and off campus; workshops in performing arts, wellness, and fine arts; and daily outings in the community. Now Harbor House is expanding to provide day services to seniors and children of all abilities (with and without disabilities) on an intergenerational model that brings all three groups together for both planned and organic activities. What does that mean? It means that children, seniors, and adults with intellectual disabilities will learn, draw, sing, read, take walks, and just have fun together on a daily basis. Harbor House is the first Intergenerational Life Center in Kentucky.
