The Kinsale Foundation
The Kinsale Foundation holds two fundraising silent auctions per year: Kinsale Day on the Foundation's anniversary and Christmas in Kinsale in December. Items for these two silent auctions are donated from members of the community and include furniture, household goods and handmade items, and donated baked goods. For Christmas in Kinsale, a significant amount of revenue comes from the sale of hundreds of dozens of cookies which are baked by the community and donated for the Foundation's cookie sale. When the funds are collected from the silent auctions and cookie sales, the proceeds are divided equally among the designated local charities. Program service expenses are printing and mailing costs to advertise the events.

THE KINSALE FOUNDATION Where history joins hands with community History and community have always been key elements of life in the riverfront port of Kinsale where in 1977 three young natives came together to form the Kinsale Foundation. They envisioned a group that would welcome newcomers to the historic village and unite in protecting Kinsales environment both culturally and physically. Kinsale Foundation Museum Mission In the ensuing years the Foundation has bought property for public use as well asfocused on collecting and safeguarding documentation of the local history. The Foundation cohosts holiday gatherings and annual events with the Cople District Volunteer Fire Department and other organizations in town.
