The ensemble was co-founded by David Bellman and Ingrid Fischer Bellman, both highly accomplished musicians with significant backgrounds in orchestral music. David Bellman recently retired from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra as the Robert H. Mohlman principal clarinetist after 39 seasons. Ingrid Fischer Bellman also retired from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra after nearly 43 seasons, previously holding positions in various orchestras internationally. The ensemble is guided by a board of directors and includes directors emerita.
