Girls On the Run 334
Girls on the Run® inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls age eight to thirteen years old, training them to run a 5k. A 501 (c) 3 which provides a positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grades. We combine a research-based curriculum, which addresses many aspects of girls' development including their physical and emotional well-being, with exercise. During two - ten week after school sessions, we teach them tools to make positive life decisions. We served 290 girls in the fall program and 475 girls in the spring. The program culminates with a celebratory 5K running event.
