The rain held off, and the team had an amazing day of training today! We practiced using the car handles of the hidden subjects as scent articles, telling the dogs to take the scent of whom they were to search for from the cars. This was the first time some of the newer dogs have trained with this type of scent article. All picked up the exercise brilliantly and found their subjects using only the scent they took from the car as their cues! The delicate purple flowers were in bloom in a tall unmoved field full of butterflies and fluffy honey bees. A cool, beautiful spring day that the dogs enjoyed just as much as the handlers! (fb)

Had a beautiful day of training yesterday! Air was full of the scent of crushed wild onions and garlic as the dogs frolicked and rolled in the grass. Everyone worked really hard and trained well! Just a few pictures I snapped while flanking K9 Watson and Becky in Area Search training, and K9 Moon showing off how dirty and happy she became after a successful training Area Search! The milder days of May are verdant, and the grass had grown up to our waists off the paths! (fb)
