To build sustainable communities in the City of Opelousas, rural St. Landry Parish and north Lafayette Parish that provide the potential for homeownership to all its residents, accessibility to quality education, increasing family income and wealth and building economic activity through business development.History: Magnolia CDC is a 501(c)3 community development corporation established in 2010 serving St. Landry Parish. Its areas of concentration are housing, education and economic development. It is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors. Our mission is achieved by partnering with community stakeholders such as neighborhood residents, public services providers, local, state and federal government and local businesses.
