Our founder Phyllis Combs was faced with an impossible situation when her neighbor who had cared for feral cats passed away leaving 20 cats without a caretaker. Having worked with animal shelters for 12 years at the time Phyllis knew that because the cats were feral they would be deemed unadoptable so their best chance was for Phyllis to socializerehabilitate them herself with the help of her husband Don of course.
