Y Bicycle Association
Y Bicycle Association is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit public charity to promote and support youth bicycling programs from kindergarten through 12th grade. Y bicycle Association educates, encourages and supports safe riding, health and fitness, and provides Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarships through an annual bicycle design competition.Safe riding - Raise money to provide bicycle helmets to children in need. Support bike rodeos and safe riding classes. Education - Sponsor programs about the history and future of the bicycle industry to include bicycle maintenance and repair, design and manufacture of bicycles and accessories in coordination with high school Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs.Health & Fitness - promote healthier nutrition and exercise from recreational riding to amateur competition.Provide Scholarships - Host annual High School (9-12th grades) design competition beginning in 2016. Competition is judged based upon creativity and supported by STEM principles for bicycle design, function, accessories and athletic technical apparel.
