About Us City Strings United was founded in 2012 on the belief that access to highquality youth programs can create positive change in economicallystrained communities and foster the social emotional and educational development of its youth. As a 501c3 nonprofit youth development program City Strings United provides free cello lessons and unique performance opportunities to fouryearold through eighteenyearold students primarily from urban Boston.
