The Backpack Academy The Backpack Academy Our Mission The Backpack Academy is a math and science educational program. The agency formed in 2011 helping students ages 817 who live in Rainier Valley. The program has since grown to include youth ages 1824 with career development workshop opportunities and projects. Our mission is to help students embrace a relationship with math and recognize that math is within their grasp.
