Delaware School for the Deaf is a public K-12 school in Newark, Delaware. A program serving deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind students 5-22 years of age in a bilingual environment using American Sign Language and English. THE MISSION OF THE DELAWARE STATEWIDE PROGRAMS ASSOCIAITON IS TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALL INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DEAF, HARD OF HEARING AND DEAF BLIND IN DELAWARE BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITES THAT ENRICH THEIR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT. IT ALSO AIMS TO RAISE COMMUNITY AWARENESS IN THE AREAS OF: VARYING HEARING LEVELS, RESEARCH AND BEST PRACTICES IN DEAH, HARD OF HEARING AND DEAF-BLIND EDUCATION.
