Free public libraries are essential to our communities SUPPORT Grants for 48 libraries in five Southern Tier counties Allegany Chemung Schuyler Steuben Yates The Foundation for Southern Tier Libraries works to promote fund and support the longterm vitality of the Southern Tier Library System and its member libraries These libraries welcome more than one million visits each year. Donations support important programs offered by local libraries by helping them expand services and experiment with innovation. Right from the beginning the Foundation awarded grants directly to libraries in the Southern Tier region.
