The mission of GuardiaCare Services, Inc. is to guide individuals and families through the challenges of aging and disability.History: The agency started as a parish outreach of St. William Catholic Church in 1969 with a neighborhood assistance program. A primary focus of services was to assist neighbors with money management. The program grew into a representative payee program, which prompted the parish to create an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) and nonsectarian agency in 1984. In 1999, the agency purchased its current site and combined all programming into the new location. Seeking to better identify its services to the community, St. William Center changed its name to GuardiaCare Services, Inc. in 2002.The agency currently serves more than 425 persons at risk of abuse and/or exploitation. GuardiaCare is the only agency in the state providing guardianship and guardianship training, financial and care management, power of attorney, and elder mediation services in a single agency. GuardiaCare continues to grow and make history for residents throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
