Annual conference for academic, gov agencies, and non-profit social research centers to share & discuss best practices & innovations in survey data collection. Held annually with the goal of sharing and improving survey research methods and solving tech issues. PROVIDE A FORUM FOR INFORMAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN FIELD DIRECTOR, FIELD TECHNOLOGY AND SURVEY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL OF A TYPE NOT USUALLY AVAILABLE IN PROFESSIONAL CONVENTIONS OR THROUGH PROFESSIONAL JOURNALS. THE SESSIONS SHALL BE INFORMAL AND FOCUS ON WORK IN PROGRESS OR RECENTLY COMPLETED, AND ON EXCHANGES OF INFORMATION, PRACTICES, AND OPINIONS ON RELEVANT SUBJECTS OF COMMON INTEREST.

IFD&TC | International Field Directors and Technologies Conference IFDTC International Field Directors and Technologies Conference HOME International Field Directors and Technologies Conference IFDTC We have made the difficult decision to cancel the IFDTC conference in Providence scheduled for April 2729 2025. New US government restrictions on agency travel budgets and the cancellations of many government contracts resulted in about 60 of our abstracts being withdrawn. Several large member organizations have also let us know they are unable to send any attendees this year or would need to dramatically cut back. With these decreases we would not be able to meet the contract requirements with our hotel and we do not have reserves enough to run the conference at such a loss.
