LA Compost
Connecting the people of Los Angeles to the soil, and each other. LA Compost restores lost connections to the soil and one another. Cooperatively with a diverse network of partners within LA County, LA Compost co-creates spaces for local compost access and engagement, restorative practices, and community empowerment. We support a healthy transition where food is never wasted, but returned to the soil for the next cycle of life.

Your support turns food scraps into something far greater: community. β β Across Los Angeles, community composting creates welcoming, hands-on spaces where neighbors learn together, grow together, and reconnect with the land. More than spaces for compost processing, theyβre gathering places, classrooms and small pockets of connection in a city where connection isnβt always built into daily life.
