The Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida was established in 1962 as an expansion of the efforts of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of the Southern Jurisdiction of the United States to provide help to children with speech and language disorders. The Scotish Rite Foundation of Florida funds childhood language therapy in fourteen clinics operated by hospitals and private practitioners. The Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida provides funds to ensure that no child is unable to receive treatment for a language disorder because of inability to pay.
