The UBFSF was founded in an effort to provide communities of color & the poor, social & economic development programs. Our objectives include providing community organizing initiatives which cultivate a culture of higher learning & community resource development w/n underserved communities; assisting people in underserved communities to cultivate the necessary human & social capital to maintain their social & economic needs; strengthening business connections & commitments to underserved communities; tackling the problems of housing development & homeownership opportunities in underserved communities; reconstruct value systems; provide positive models of success; and esteem builders within underserved communities.
