Making Montessori more accessible to the Black community. The Black Montessori Education Fund (BMEF) is a fiscally-sponsored project of Mentors Of Minorities In Education (M.O.M.I.E), a DC non-profit organization established in 1994, which supports the development of new community based education programs. The mission of the BMEF is to increase educational equity and support diversity and inclusion in Montessori education by investing in Black educators, children, administrators, and researchers all around the world.
