GOGGLES FOR GUPPIES

Childhood Drowning | Goggles for Guppies

10 people die from accidental drowning every day in America; 2 of them are children under the age of 14. Accidental drowning is the second leading cause of death of children in the United States. 70% of African-American children, 60% of Hispanic children and 42% of Caucasian children have little or no swimming ability. The majority of these are underprivileged children from disadvantaged families. While numerous learn to swim programs exist, millions of families cannot afford basic equipment such as caps, suits and goggles. Goggles for Guppies was founded to provide them with free new suits and goggles. Our mission statement: to prevent childhood drowning by enabling underprivileged children to learn to swim by providing free suits, swim caps and goggles.
