Today we at CEDSA would like to honor Doctor Edvard Lauritz Ehlers and Doctor Henri-Alexandre Danlos who were both born on March 26th. It is these two doctors who Ehlers Danlos Syndrome was named after. Doctor Edvard Lauritz Ehlers was born in 1863 in Copenhagen, Denmark where his father was mayor. He qualified in medicine in 1891. He died on May 7, 1937 in, we suspect, Copenhagen. Doctor Henri-Alexandre Danlos was born in 1844 in Paris, France. He received his doctorate in 1874. He died on September 12, 1912 in Chatou, France.
