In Haiti, it is a tradition to raise the national flag each day and sing the national anthem. These are especially troubled times in parts of Haiti, but for now, Cap-Haitien is a safe haven. Each day, the flag still goes up and the children still sing. We pray that children all over Haiti would be able to sing together again soon. (fb)

Friends, we'd like to ask for your prayers again. John is considering going to Haiti in May to connect with our leaders and to be ordained at our church. At present, Cap-Haitien is still safe but gangs have made advances in recent weeks. It is also exorbitantly expensive to travel to Haiti right now. Rumors circulated recently that Spirit and JetBlue were planning to resume service, which would dramatically reduce costs. So far, however, no announcement has been made. Would you pray that if it is the Lord's will, he would make a way? (fb)
