Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa was initially inspired by honorary groups at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. In the spring of 1918, students and presidents of eight Missouri junior colleges united to form a new honor society, which they named Phi Theta Kappa. The organization was officially recognized by the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges.
