The Lifeline Clinic is based in the town of Epukiro and provides free primary health care services to more than 3,500 patients every year. The clinic was established in 2003 following the tragic death of a San baby, initially with regular outreach sessions and then with a permanent clinic from 2006. The Lifeline Clinic is dedicated to the health and welfare of the San Bushmen community, providing free medical care. More than 40% of those treated are children, and over 90% are from the San community - offering hope, healing, and dignity where it's needed most. (fb)

Meet Alfie - one of Naankuse’s trail horses. Alfie is an Appaloosa horse known for their gentle and patient character. Appaloosas have quite sensitive eyes, and are prone to getting tumours in and around their eyes. Alfie started with tearing of his left eye, and we found the start of a tumour in his third eyelid. Thankfully, an early detection allowed a swift and complete removal of his third eyelid, hopefully preventing the cancerous cells from spreading to the rest of the eye. After some rest, he is taking the world on, in a blink of an eye! 😉. (fb)
