The Berea Arts Council (BAC) was organized in 1986 to focus the resources of Berea’s art community. MISSION:The Berea Arts Council believes that art enriches, sustains, and contributes to the quality of everyday life. Through the arts, we seek to spark creativity and build a sense of community for all. VISION: The Berea Arts Council functions as the creative and social hub for local arts supporters, artists, and organizations, a place where conversation and collaboration thrive. VALUES:Collaboration - to connect the members of Berea's creative community and strengthen their economic contributions.Inclusion/accessibility/diversity - to provide a path to creative opportunities for everyone in the community.Artistic Expression - to recognize the worth of artists and their work and to promote participation in and appreciation of the arts as part of a fulfilling life.Creativity - to use imagination and ingenuity in all aspects of the Berea Arts Council from policies to programming and to encourage original thinking throughout the community.Education - to provide opportunities for life-long learning and appreciation of the arts.
