Minor Preston Educational Fund For over three decades the Minor Preston Educational Fund has supported the college education of graduates of the public schools of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. A Legacy of Education The Rives C. Minor and Asalie M. Preston Educational Fund was founded thirtyfive years ago to honor the exemplary lives and legacies of two AfricanAmerican educators father and daughter who combined taught for over eight decades in the public schools of Albemarle County most of those years in segregated schools.
