The Human Trafficking Legal Center connects trafficking survivors with quality pro bono representation so they can thrive. We demand accountability from traffickers, governments, and corporations. At the Human Trafficking Legal Center, we believe that when human trafficking survivors have lawyers, survivors have rights. We create a bridge between trafficking survivors and highly skilled pro bono legal representation. Together we work to hold traffickers accountable for their crimes through civil litigation and criminal restitution. The Human Trafficking Legal Center gains compensation for survivors so that they can reclaim their lives. We are a non-profit organization, monitoring the federal government and working to improve federal policy to benefit trafficking survivors.

The Human Trafficking Legal Center congratulates Outlaw Ocean on U.S. Customs and Border Protection's issuance of a new #importban on a Chinese fishing vessel for #forcedlabor. Outlaw Ocean's four-year investigation uncovered significant abuse against the fishermen on the vessel, prompting this withhold release order (WRO). The Human Trafficking Legal Center was honored to partner with Ian Urbina and the Outlaw Ocean team to file an import ban petition with U.S. CBP.
