At Children’s Mercy, moms – and those who love like moms – show up with strength and love, even in the most uncertain moments. ❤️ On Mother’s Day, more than 500 handwritten cards – lovingly transcribed by our Children’s Mercy team members – were delivered to moms and caregivers across the hospital, reminding them they’re not alone. Sometimes you need a loving hand, or in this case, paw, to help you through a hard time. 🐾🐕‍🦺 When James’s cancer relapsed back in September 2024, our #FacilityDog Dusty was one of the first visitors to see him after getting the news. James had partially lost his vision due to leukemia in his spinal fluid, and being able to snuggle and pet Dusty brought him so much comfort. We love the sweet bond between these 2 and are grateful for the role Dusty and our expert medical teams have played in James’s path to healing. 💙 We're all rooting for you, James! (fb)
