Children's Mercy Kansas City is Built for Kids™ Built for Kids Built for Kids Tiny heart beating strong Delivered premature at just 4 pounds 11 ounces little Johnny also was born with critical aortic valve stenosis. Caused by a rare genetic condition he would need multiple catheterizations and openheart surgery at just three months old. Yet because of the talent and compassion of the team in theWard Family Heart Center and the incredible strength of Johnny and his family this brave boy is now 2 years old and learning how to be a regular toddler.
