HOME OF NATIONAL MONTFORD POINT MARINE NC TRIADTRIANGLE CHAPTER 38 FIRST AFRICAN AMERICANS TO ENTER THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS Under constructionPl Montford Point Marines were the 1st African Americans to enlist into the United States Marine Corps from 19421949. We are 1 of 5 chapters located within the state of NC. We cover the following counties Alamance Caswell Chatham Cumberland Davidson Durham Guilford Forsyth Franklinton Granville Johnston Nash Orange Person Randolph Rockingham Surry and Wake. Membership is open to all Veterans and active duty personnel with honorable service.
