#dogoodwork The Good Work Institute exists to cultivate, connect, support, and illuminate a network of people and initiatives working towards Just Transition. Good Work Institute is a non-profit organization with a mission to educate and connect a network of local community members and support their collaborative efforts to regenerate their places. Founded in 2015, the Good Work Institute is a worker self-directed nonprofit working in New Yorkβs Hudson Valley. We aim to act as a catalyst for a sustained Just Transition movement. The Good Work Institute exists to build and amplify the collective power of people to reject systems of oppression and extraction and create regenerative, just, and life-affirming communities. Our work is guided by these five principles of Just Transition: Driving racial justice and social equity Advancing ecological restoration Relocalizing most production and consumption Democratizing wealth, communities and the workplace Retaining and restoring cultures and traditions

We are rejecting status quo systems of oppression and extraction that have led to a pandemic a climate emergency and a rapacious global economy based on inequity and isolation.
