Bess The Book Bus Inc
Bess the Book Bus is a mobile literacy outreach dedicated to bulding home libraries for children and families that otherwise may not have the opportunity to own books. We give children a chance to identify as readers for a lifetime of learning. We target schools that are located in asset-limited communities in an effort to bridge the gap in book access and ownership. We strive to ensure that children have books at home and have access to high-quality classroom libraries. Although solving the complex barriers of economic disparity is beyond the limits of our schools and childcare centers, we can do much to address the book gap, and impact the achievement gap by making sure children have access to books.
